Mount Moosilauke

Hi guys, just had my day off, it was pretty sweet, last night me and bracken took our cabin out to a place called teh point which is a lovely spot with a log cabin and big fire place, the kids were sound, Me and Tristan went and built a base which was fun, we cooked marshmallows, burgers and hotdogs on the fire, it was a really chilled out night.

I woke up this morning feeling a tad ill, I had a saw throat and swollen glands so pete the nurse gave me some throat losengers and tablets before I hiked the mountain which is 4,802 ft high, the view was amazing from up their, could see so far and the mountains just rolled on and on into teh distance, from the summit we could see mouont washington which has the most extreme weather on earth, with teh worlds highest windspeed ever recorded at 231mph, it took 1/12 hrs to hike to the summit and the same back, it was very taxing on teh legs.

For this afternoon I have chilled out in hanover, watched some baseball, had a burrito at a nice place and then chilled out in a restaraunt called mollys.

Other things that have happened, I have worked so hard last week and this week, teh kids have been making alsorts of projects from mini bowling alleys to the senior A's making a full size wooden couch which they are using their spare matress as a cushion, it fits 4 and we made it in like 2 days, was pretty astonishing, their should be a picture posted on the moosilauke web site soon, so as well as having every odd night off believe me its very hard work here, the kids always need attentions etc... some days you really feel how difficult it can be and others are so rewarding! the philosophy at camp moose is work hard play hard.

To Dad and Neale, I'd love to have a round of golf here with you the fairways and greens are so well kept, the weather is perfect for it also, It would be such a relaxing chilled out day, I have played putt putt mini golf a few times but thats nothing compared to the full sizers!

Boston, MA

HI guys, the other day on my day off I went to boston for free this happened because fernando and jose had to fly back to spain on that day, it was kool because only so many of us were able to go on the trip, so our names were drawn out of a cup and it worked out really well because no americans were going (they live here so they can visit whenever). The journey was long but very funny (2 1/2 hrs), Its a nice city, very big and it has a beautiful skyline fron teh harbour, it was so much different to camp because its so busy, it kinda reminded me of canary warf when I was with debbie, her bro and uncle on holiday! We travelled through the boston big dig, this is a $14.6 billion investment to move teh congested roads underground, it kinda reminded me of need for speed or burnout on teh ps2. Once we parked up in boston we watched these street freestyle dancers (got pictures to post) they were awsome, I threw in a few bucks. After that we went for a meal at the cheers restaraunt and original set for the tv show!Tthis was awsome I had swordfish, its so tasty! kinda breaks up like fish but tastes tender like beef. After this we did some shopping I baught lots of gifts and a boston hoodie, fernando and jose got a cartoon art drawing done in the streets, I almost got a ortiz t-shirt ortiz/big papa is the big hitter for teh redsox. Then we took them to teh airport and said goodbye, I changed my flight back ticket from teh 5th of september to teh 10th. Then we all headed back in to boston for teh night life and had another meal, took some photos and walked to teh harbour. We rolled back into camp at 2am. The whole trip was sweet, had so much fun!

The next day was also sweet as I didnt realize that their was no woodshop all day so I basically cleaned out the shop, painted this big muriel picture for our dinner hall and went and coached soccer for a hour or so (crossing teh ball in for teh kids to volley) american kids struggle so much, but this makes it good because their are more points to teach and they behave and persist harder and longer than english kids.
For teh afternoon I got to go to this place 1 hr away with the junior B's called lost river Its a huge gauge where we had lunch and then a tour, their are some awsome pictures of this I also have to post>>> The kids also panned for gold, it was such a kool day, its hard to explain you need to be here and experience all this stuff some things are so embracing. On teh way back we stopped off at fatbobs which is a big icecream parlour in the middle of no where, they have like 50 flavours at least, I had superman and maple walnut (superman is a swirl of banana, raspberry and something else). This second session is so much more chilled out, the kids seem to be more aware and easier to work with, they dont complain, they put in 100% all the time and they seem more down to earth where as the last lot were spoilt, to rich for their own good "to cool for school" type. In the evening me and some senoirs went fishing I caught 2 things neither of them a fish, first one was a tree :-) and second one was a jitterbug.

A couple of days later we had cabin cook out this was kool and heres teh picture below

Martyn when I get back to uni I challenge you to a game of sting pong lol.

Keep posting guys its good to here from you guys, I wish you were here with me, we'd have such a good time!
