Teh kids walking over teh bridge ready to light the bonfireHey again guys, ok so the things that have happened over the weekend, we packed up all the kids luggage and then the next day we had parents day where all us counsilors had to wear our staff shirts and be at our best, we were getting so many compliments etc... it was such a hectic day but so enjoyable, I pretty much cleared out all the bags on junior hill into parents cars and I gained a few tips, one mum slipped $20 into my pocket, another gave me a tee and a kid who I helped at woodshop gave me a soccer mug and some jelly belly beans!
After the kids left we had the night off, I went and participated in a counsilor baseball game at pemiwegassett, we lost 10-2 but I had a good bottom 9, and to say it was my first baseball game all the americans said I played well, after that I played a bit of tennis and then went out for teh night, we were going to go to 118 which is a campground with a live hicky band but it was raining so instead we went to a place called the twig for a meal under a tarpaulin and as a bonus we had a german band playing the waltz and polka lol (will). After this we went on a supermarket rooftop and had a few drinks (so americana!) then went into a night club called P.H.O.P which was fun.
The next day was all about tidying teh place up, I was assigned to bed duty (rearanging the beds in different cabins so teh numbers worked out) also had to haul the luggage up to each cabin which took alot of work, its unbelievable what the kids pack, for example one kid had packed swing ball in his bag and another had packed like 12books!
In teh afternoon we went to a supermarket and baught dinner, me and jesse went halfs on a hugh chicken which we made massive sandwiches with, then all of us chilled out at a place called orford beach, had a couple of camp fires and a sing song with guitar, harmonica and a tom tom I have some sweet pictures to post but their on gastion's camera (french dude who does windsurfin lol he's crazy today he came up to me and said " martan iz had a dream about you last night, you were playing for team manchester and scored a goal with your head) haha he's a ledgend!
Yesterday was all about welcoming the kids and getting them familiar with their surroundings and others, my new cabin kids are called tristan (athletic kid) nicky (cool kid with a funny fake wig) james (shy quiet but can be boysterous at times) and crosby (normal kid lol not that the others arnt).
Finally today has been chill, had woodshop with teh new guys getting them using tools and stuff, it was a scorching 98f, not much else to day really except on thursday, my day off I might be off to Boston to take fernando (spanish kid) to the airport
